  • Dried bean curd sticks, also known as dried bean milk skin rolls, dried tofu skin rolls, yuba, fu zhu, or tofu bamboo, are made from the skin that forms on the surface of simmering soy milk. This skin is carefully skimmed off, rolled into sticks rich in protein, and then dried.
  • Dried bean curd sticks are made from non-genetically modified (NON-GMO) soybeans and water, without any preservatives or colorants, and are packed with plant-based protein and essential nutrients.
  • Dried bean curd sticks make an excellent addition to dishes and serve as a great meat alternative. They have a chewy texture similar to that of shiitake mushrooms. Like other soy-based products, they absorb the flavors of whatever they are cooked with, making them perfect for adding to seasoned broths and stir-fries to enhance the overall taste.
  • Before using dried bean curd, it needs to be rehydrated. To do so, cover it with warm water and soak for 2-4 hours until it becomes soft and flexible. Once rehydrated, drain the water, cut it into chunks, and use it like fresh tofu. It is ideal for dishes such as Marmite, cheese, stir-fries, stews, soups, and more. Note: the product is salted, so be sure to soak it in water and rinse it thoroughly before cooking.
